AP Govt will take action over fake certificates
Amaravati: Minister for social welfare and tribal welfare Nakka Ananda Babu said the government will act against those who prescribe as well as avail fake certificates. Answering to members during the question hour in the Assembly here on Wednesday, he said the government found that some people got certificates illegally as girijans and enjoying the benefits.
Reiterating that the government was committed to protect the rights of girijans, the minister said that 244 cases were pending with the government in this regard. Bringing the issue to the notice of government, MLA Giddi Eswari asked the minister to take stringent action against those who involved in bogus certificates scam.
The MLA said the opportunities of girijans were being grabbed by others. On the other hand, the minister said that the government would lay BT roads in all the SC and ST colonies.
Reacting to another question, the minister said there was no proposal to convert the above 500 populated girijan hamlets as panchayats. The minister made it clear the provision of budget allocation and creation of some infrastructure was difficult at present.
