Chandrababu Naidu accuses YSRCP of colluding with BJP, ignoring State’s interests

Amaravati: TDP national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the BJP leaders had suspected that he would enter the national politics and hence they took support of YSRCP during the elections to the posts of country’s President and Vice-President.

The Chief Minister held a teleconference with party MPs on Wednesday. Naidu blamed the Opposition YSRCP of adopting politics of collusion at the cost of State’s interests. He pointed out that the YSRCP members were protesting in Parliament and extending support to the BJP outside.

“I clearly explained that I do not have interest in national politics. But the BJP leaders do not believe it. BJP took support from YSRCP for the elections to the President of India and Vice-President elections. We waited for four years. Saw four Union budgets. In the fourth budget too, they did injustice to State,” Naidu pointed out.

Not only the Special Category Status, but also the remaining promises made under the AP Reorganisation Act should be fulfilled by the Central government, the Chief Minister demanded. “We are fighting for people. Fighting for justice, rights. We should continue the same spirit till the end. Should be united in this movement,” he told the MPs.

Naidu recalled, “During the 1985 August crisis, 161 MLAs of TDP were on one word till the end. They won victory. The same spirit should be carried out by present MPs in Parliament. We don’t have grudge on anybody. BJP failed in fulfilling its poll promise. Public anger is visible against BJP and Central government,” informed Chandrababu Naidu.

The TDP national president further explained that the party made the State issue as a national issue and all political parties were expressing sympathy towards the State now.
