Strive hard to achieve goals: Ganta

Vijayawada: HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao said that the students should decide what they want to become and should strive hard with the guidance of teachers to achieve their goals.

The minister participated in the foundation stone laying programme of Government Urdu Junior College at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore at Kabela here on Wednesday.

Addressing a gathering, the Minister said in the upcoming Urdu junior college there would be 25 classrooms with MPC, BPC, CEC and HEC courses. He said the state government was giving more importance to education and allocated more funds to education. 

Citing a quotation, ‘A child without education was like a bird without wings’, he said that change could be brought in society towards development only with education. He said that everyone should study and reach higher positions in life. He said that the government was introducing various schemes to transform the state into a knowledge state and knowledge hub. He said that funds were allocated in the budget to provide bicycles to all the students.

He said that the students should decide their goal and strive hard to become successful in their chosen field. As per the local MLA request, Mayor Koneru Sridhar asked the minister to establish a lab which would be a model for the junior college. MLC B Venkanna, MLA Jaleel Khan, Police Housing Corporation Chairman Nagul Meera and others were present.
