Amaravati: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju said he was ready to resign if the TDP MLAs, MLCs and MPs also do the same from their posts, since all of them were elected in 2014 general elections as part of TDP-BJP coalition. He made these remarks in a chat with journalists at BJLP hall in Assembly on Wednesday. He was responding to reports in a section media that BJP MLCs will resign in the wake of rift between two parties.

Veerraju said that both TDP and BJP together formed the government after they won the 2014 general elections and he got the MLC post through the MLAs who were elected in 2014.

BJP floor leader in Assembly P Vishnukumar Raju, who was also present there, said the Central government had not called for ‘war on the state government’ as being portrayed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The two leaders said the Chief Minister was blaming the Central government and BJP for no proper reason.

The Ex-minister and MLA P Manikyala Rao said some media misled public that YSRCP’s political advisor Prasanth Kishor attended the AP BJP core meeting held recently in New Delhi by party national president Amit Shah.

Insisting that Prasanth Kishor did not attend the meeting, he said there was no need for BJP to interact with him.  Manikyala Rao and Veerraju said that Prasanth Kishor was political advisor to BJP during 2014 but not now.
