Junior colleges in every mandal

Amaravati: Human resources development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the government was taking steps to start junior colleges in every mandal in the state.

Answering to members during question hour in the Assembly on Thursday, he said the government had approved the proposals to start 49 new colleges based on the viability report.

During discussion, MLA Gadde Rammohan and several other legislators requested the government to start the junior colleges at mandal level to provide education to poor sections.
