Anantapur records 41 degrees Celsius; Kurnool 40 degrees Celsius

Hyderabad: As dry weather prevailed in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, the highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Anantapur. Kurnool had a high of 40 degrees Celsius, as there was an appreciable rise in day temperatures, which were above normal.

The other temperatures in the State were: Nandyal &Jangamaheswarapuram 39 each, Tirupati , Kadapa  Nandigama& Tuni 38 each, Kavali, Nellore, Vijayawada &Arogyavaram 37 each, Ongole & Visakhapatnam Airport 36 each, Kakinada 35, Bapatla& Machilipatnam 34 each,  Kalingapatnam&Narsapur 33 each, Visakhapatnam 32.

The lowest minimum temperature of 22 degrees C was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram.According to the forecast, dry weather is likely to prevail in Rayalaseema on March 23, with the maximum temperatures is likely to be around 40-41 degrees Celsius.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh on March 23, while dry weather is likely to prevail in south coastal districts.
