Farmers not happy under TDP rule, claims Jagan
Guntur: YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched his Prajasankalpa Yatra on 118th day on Thursday from Polireddypalem in Guntur district. From there, he reached Lingamguntla and Aswapuram Cross. He interacted with farmers, women and other sections of people and made inquiries about their problems.
Speaking on this occasion, he criticised that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has failed to waive crop loans taken by the farmers and also the bank loans taken by the women of SHGs (self-help groups). He reminded that at the time of elections, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged the farmers not to pay interest on gold loans taken for agriculture purpose. After coming to power, he forgot his assurances. The bank officials auctioned the gold ornaments of farmers who did not pay their loans.
The YSRCP chief flayed that during the TDP rule, the farmers are not getting the MSP (minimum support price) for their agriculture produce. The chilli prices have been falling, he said and added that farmers are not happy during the TDP government.
Later, he participated in the road blockade programme conducted by Left, YSRCP and Congress leaders at Ankireddypalem in Guntur city and expressed his solidarity and support to the programme. Holding Placard, he demanded SCS. Later, he went to Gannavaram.
