Riders sans helmet to lose licence 

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham said that the driving licences would be cancelled if anyone drives vehicles without helmet. Reviewing the road safety at a meeting here on Friday, he said that majority of the road accidents are taking place due to driving without helmet.

He said that the licences would be cancelled permanently, if anyone is found without helmet for second time. He also asked the officials to provide jammers and speed censors for controlling speeding vehicles.

He said that the minors below age of 18, who drive vehicles, would be punished by stopping the government benefits to their parents. Several officials were also present.
