3 Aspari students secure national scholarships
Kurnool: Three eighth standard students of AP Model High School at Aspari were selected for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS), a central government sponsored scheme, said the school Principal, M Anjaneyulu.
Speaking to The Hans India on Friday, Anjaneyulu stated that the representatives of NMMS have conducted a merit scholarship test in 2017. The scholarship test was conducted across the state in which as many as 173 students from 35 model schools in Kurnool district competed for the merit scholarship.
Thirty-three students from Aspari Model School appeared for the test, he said. Out of them, three students−P Zaheer Khan, S Diwan Vali and C Bharati−were selected for the NMMS. The selected students would be given a stipend of Rs 6,000 per annum for 4 years, beginning from ninth standard to completion of Intermediate.
“We are very proud of our students,” the Principal said. He also recalled the dedicated services of the teachers towards the students in imparting quality education. He advised other students to get inspiration from students, who have secured stipend. Teachers D Jyothsana Madhuri, Jayasri, D Ruksana Parveen, Sudha Rani, R Eeranna, M Narasimhulu and others were present.
