AP Left Parties, Sadhana Samithi to observe black day if no debate on Special Category Status
Vijayawada: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna, Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samithi president Chalasani Srinivas and CPM secretary P Madhu said that if the Centre adjourned the Parliament session sine die without allowing discussion on the Special Category Status, they would observe black day on the same day.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, they demanded that the Centre should prove its sincerity by facing the no-confidence motion. They said that the people of the State and all political parties took part in the highways blockade programme.
They would stage protest by garlanding Ambedkar statues across the State on March 27. They would form a joint action committee with students on March 28 and an action plan also would be announced on the same day.
CPM secretary P Madhu said that the Centre was making plans to adjourn the House sine die before April 5. Aam Aadmi Party leader Phani, CPI city secretary D Shankar and several other leaders were also present.
