MP pays rich tributes to YSR

 Kadapa: Rajya Sabha member VemireddyPrabhakara Reddy, along with Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy and Chandragiri  MLAChevireddyBaskar Reddy,   visited late chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tomb at Idupulapaya  and paid rich tributes on Saturday.

Speaking to media persons at Idupulapaya, he said that Rajasekhar Reddy was an outstanding political personality, as he was responsible for bringing Congress party into power in the state in 2004and 2009. He said that he had great respect for Rajasekhar Reddy and has long association with his family.

Describing Rajasekhar Reddy regime as golden era, he said that people of the state enjoyed several welfare schemes during his rule.  He recalled that several times Rajasekhar Reddy brought pressure on him to join politics and asked him to contest from Kovur constituency of Nellore district in 2004 General elections. But, he smoothly turndown the proposal as he was disinterested in politics. 

Prabhakar Reddy said that after observing YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s fight for the welfare of people, he wanted to join YSR Congress. Prabhakar Reddy said that YSR Congress party would be definitely voted to power in 2019 elections as the people of state are prepared to give their vote in favour of YSRCP.
