UCs: TDP junks Shah’s claim
Amaravati: Exposing the false propaganda of BJP on submission of Utilisation Certificates to the Centre by the state government, TDP leaders released the copies of the certificates related to Backward Districts Grants Funds worth Rs 1,050 crore on Monday. The state government submitted the UCs for Rs 946 crore out of the total released amount of Rs. 1050 crore under this head.
TDP Lok Sabha member K Rammohan Naidu lambasted BJP president Amit Shah on his Twitter account on Monday. “Befitting reply 4 the false propaganda by @BJP4India and @AmitShah to defame @ncbn & demands of people of AP is exposed by @AndhraPradeshCM”, he said and suggested that Shah stop cheating AP. Further, Rammohan Naidu stated that the state government furnished certificates for a total amount of Rs 946.47 crore under the Special Development Package.
The Central government released an amount of Rs 150 crore each for seven districts of including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vizag, Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool between 2014-15 to 2016-17 at Rs 50 crore per financial year. The state government submitted UCs for these funds including Rs 135.15 crore for Srikakulam, Rs 134.74 crore for Vizianagaram, Rs 135.46 crore for Vizag, Rs 134.90 crore for Chittoor, Rs 137 crore for Kadapa, Rs 124 crore for Anantapur and Rs 144.55 crore for Kurnool.
The balance funds available as on January 25, 2018 are just Rs. 103.53 crore for the funds released under the Special Development Package. On the other hand, the Central government added the released funds of Rs 350 crore on February 16, 2018, under the same head, accusing the state government of not submitting UCs. These facts exposed that the Central government is either not willing to release funds for the Andhra Pradesh or it was not bothered about the development of the state, said TDP Officials spokesperson Lanka Dinakar.
The state government submitted UCs for 95 per cent of the funds released for these districts, but the BJP chief blindly accused the state government of not doing so, he said. With regard to capital city development funds of Rs 2500 crore, the state government submitted certificates to a tune of more than Rs 1.530 crore, Dinakar added.
He said that this was accepted by the Union Finance Minister in Parliament itself, while giving oral reply to a question raised by YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy, he informed. Dinakar dismissed charge of Amit Shah that UCs were submitted for only 8 per cent funds released for capital city construction.
