Jagan promises hike in pension if voted to power
Guntur: YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy assured that he will give Rs 20,000 hostel fee per annum to BCs. He participated in the BCs Atmeeya Samavesam at Gudipudi Colony in Sattenapalli constituency on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said for engineering and medicine courses, parents would have to spend lakhs of rupees for per annum whereas the government is giving Rs 35,000 per annum.
He said that this amount is not sufficient and added that the poor parents cannot spend more money to educate their children. Hence, he assured that he will extend helping hand to the BCs, if YSRCP voted to power.
He reminded that BCS were happy during the YSR government. After his death, they are facing so many problems, he pointed out. He urged the parents to send their children to the schools and motivate them to study engineering and MBBS courses. He assured that he will hike pensions Rs 2000 per month and reduce the age for pensions from 65 years to 60 years. He asked their suggestions to implement welfare schemes, if YSRCP voted to power.
He completed 122nd day of his Praja Sankalapa Yatra in Guntur district on Wednesday and reached Gudipudi Colony from Sattenapalli.
