AP CM opens Franklin Templeton Investments branch in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inaugurated one of the reputed and a Fortune 500 company, Franklin Templeton Investments, branch office at Tech Mahendra in the city on Thursday. 

The Franklin Templeton established its branch office as part of the FinTech development programme in the port city.

Participating in the inauguration along with the Chief Minister, President and Chief Operating Officer of Franklin Templeton Investments company Jennifer M Johnson said that with strong confidence on Chandrababu Naidu unconditionally she assured to open Visakhapatnam centre during Naidu’s visit to the US.

In 2002 when Naidu was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, she opened the company’s centre in Hyderabad and got a rich experience with the Naidu’s skills and administration.

“When Chandrababu Naidu met me in the US to request to come and open the company centre in Visakhapatnam, he tried to explain me about Visakhapatnam and his government’s policies to promote investments in the new state of Andhra Pradesh. 

I said no need to explain and assured to open Andhra Pradesh centre in Visakhapatnam. Naidu is having a great vision to promote the business and we very confident on his government,” Jennifer complemented.

She said there would be big change in the IT and its allied business in the state with the opening of Franklin Templeton Investments in Visakhapatnam.

The company assured to invest Rs 455 crore in Visakhapatnam and assured to provide 2,500 jobs to the youth. 

The Chief Minister said the government is offering several sops to the investors globally to open their units in the state and assured the government would extend all sorts of help to the Franklin Templeton Investments. While welcoming to the state, the Chief Minister presented a memento and Uppada silk saree to Jennifer.
