Snapana Tirumanjanam performed

Tirumala:  The second day of the annual Vasantotsavam at Srivari Temple was organised with gaiety and grandeur at the brightly decorated Vasantotsava Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday.

The tradition of conducting the festival  was commenced in1460 during the regime of Vijayanagara king Achutaraya. The TTD garden department created a Bhuloka Nandanavanam with greenery and flower decked animals, water falls etc.

After the morning event of Rathotsavam, the celestial event of Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to utsava idols of Malayappaswamy and his consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi at the Vasanta Mandapam.

As part of the Vasantotsavam ritual the Viswaksenaradhana, Punyahavachanam , Navakalashabhisekam, Rajopacharam, Chatra Chamara vrajana Darpanadi Naivedyam, Mukha Prakshalana and  doopa-deepa Naivedyam were performed.

Among others Sri Pedda Jeeyar swami and  Chinna jeeyar swami,  Dy EO Sri Harindranath, and others participated in the event .
