Telugu film bigwigs lend support to CM on SCS

Amaravati: Telugu film industry has lent its shoulder to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s struggle for Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.

Tollywood biggies called on Naidu at his residence in Undavalli here and pledged their support to the agitation that the state government has taken up to force the Centre to come to the rescue of the state which is not yet out of woods after Telangana was carved out of it in 2014.

The cinema industry representatives also wore black badges in protest as per the call given at the all party and all associations, called by Chandrababu Naidu recently.

Tollywood heavyweights K Raghavendra Rao, Aswini Dutt, KL Narayana and KS Rama Rao were among those who called on Naidu. Raghavendra Rao informed Chandrababu Naidu that they would participate in the protest by wearing black badges till April 6, as decided by the all-party meeting.
