Vasanthotsavam concludes on grand note in Tirumala
Tirumala: The annual three-day Salakatla Vasanthotsavams concluded on a grand note in Tirumala on Saturday. On the final day Sri Malayappa Swamy along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, Sri Rama with Sita Devi, Lakshmana Swamy and Anjaneya and Sri Krishna Swamy with Rukmini Devi were rendered celestial bath.
It was a visual feast to the devotees to witness the snapana tirumanjanam (celestial bath) to all the nine processional deities at a time. This religious event took place between 2 pm and 4 pm in Vasantha Mandapam. The entire premises reverberated with the chanting of vedic mantras while the snapanam was under way.
Meanwhile the TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas in connection with Salakatla Vasanthotsavam. All the arjitha sevas will resume in Tirumala temple from April 1 onwards. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju, Temple DyEO Haridranath, Peishkar Ramesh and devotees witnessed the celestial event.
