GITAM students get TCS medals

Visakhapatnam: Noted IT Company Tata Consultancy Services has presented its best student and best student project awards to GITAM University students on Saturday.

TCS award for the best student of 2016-17 batch was presented to Kotha Naga Yaswanth from (Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering) and best student-project award to Jannela Vignendra (Computer Science Engineering) for his project entitled ‘Network intrusion detection system using logistic neural networks”. The awards consisting of a gold medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 10,000 each. The awards are being given to promote creativity and socially useful projects submitted by the students during their study.

TCS Vice-President and Regional Head V Rajanna presented the awards to GITAM students during the awards ceremony held recently at TCS Deccan Part Campus in Hyderabad. GITAM Training and Placement Director Commander Gurumoorthy Gangadharan also participated in the event.

GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof MS Prasada Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivaramakrishna, Registrar Prof M Potharaju, Institute of Technology Principal Prof K Lakshmiprasad appreciated the students for their achievement.
