Four held, booty recovered

Vijayawada: City Crime Police arrested four accused in connection with the house breaking cases in the city and recovered gold ornaments and silver articles worth Rs 6.5 lakh. Additional Superintendent of Police Nawab Jaan produced the four members before the media at Suryarao Pet Police Station on Sunday.

Four accused Tillari Durga Rao alias Pitchi Durga Rao, Shaik Nagur, Devarakonda Durga Rao alias Aghora and Devarakonda Gopi alias Pitta were involved in 12 house breaking incidents in the police station limits of Ajit Singh Nagar, Nunna and Bhavanipuram. 

Nawab Jaan said the gang members collect information about the houses during the day time and rob the valuables in the night by breaking the doors. The police seized gold jewellery and silver articles weighing 200 grams and 500 grams worth Rs.6.50 lakh. West Zone ACP G Ramakrishna and ACP of Crime Station Varma were present at the press meet.
