Officials evict residents forcibly from illegal building

Srikakulam: Revenue, panchayat and police officials on Monday vacated a building constructed illegally by two private persons in
reserve site at Chapuram panchayat limits near Srikakulam city. 

Former sarpanch of village Allu Laxminarayana and another person Tangi Eswar Rao constructed the building and residing in it. Based
on complaints, district panchayat officer (DPO) B Koteswara Rao inquired and served notices to occupiers of the building. 

Private constructions were illegal in panchayat reserve site. On Monday, revenue, panchayat and police officials reached the spot
along with fire staff and vacated the occupiers of the building. At that time, the residents of building resisted efforts of officials and
threatened to commit suicide by pouring fuel. ASP T Panasa Reddy, DSPs V Bhima Rao, P Subramanyam and panchayat officials
vacated the residents and occupied the building. Police registered a case against residents of building based on complaint lodged by
panchayat officials.
