Cop ends life over domestic issue

Kadapa: In a tragic incident, an Armed Reserved (AR) constable working in the District Police Office (DPO) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his weapon on Saturday. The deceased was identified as A Venkata Kiran (35) of Bestavari pet in Prakasam district. 

The police officials are suspecting that domestic problems might have forced him to take such an extreme step. According to the sources, the deceased was assigned night guard duty in DPO on Friday. As per the schedule, he has to be relived from duty on the next day morning. On Saturday, he took out his weapon which was hanging around his neck and shot himself leading to severe heady injury. 

He was immediately shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) where doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased is survived by wife, two children and mother. District SP Attada Babujee has condoled the death of constable.
