Gajjella awards presented

Kadapa: Dr Gajjella Malla Reddy National Award, constituted by the Gajjella Malla Reddy Trust, was presented to senior journalists P Ramakrishna (2015-16), M Rajendra (2016-17) and to P Viswa Prasad (2017-18) at a programme held at CP Brown Library here on Friday.  

Kendra Sahitya Akademi award winner Ketu Viswanatha Reddy recalled his association with Dr Gajjella Malla Reddy. Tracing history of the trust’s formation, he said the trust was transferred to Yogi Vemana University (YVU), under whose aegis the programme was held, to provide training to upcoming journalists apart from recognising talents in the fields of literature and journalism, he added. The trust’s member-secretary and Registrar of the university Prof K Chandraiah spoke.
