SPMVV’s PGCET on May 20

 Tirupati: Sri Padmavathi MahilaVisvavidyalayam (SPMVV) here has issued Common Entrance Test (CET) notification for admission into various courses during the academic year 2018-19 and the test will be held on May 20. Women students, who are desirous of pursuing higher education in various disciplines in the varsity should get qualified in SPMVVPGCET-2018, besides, fulfilling other eligible criteria prescribed for each course. 

Women students from AP and Telangana will be local students to SPMVV. The entrance test will be conducted to offer 42 courses in various schools. Students should have get minimum of 45 percent marks in degree courses. They can download the application forms from university website or can get directly from the Directorate of Admissions office in the varsity. Intermediate passed students can apply for vocational and integrated Courses. For these courses, students need not to write CET as admissions will be made basis on the marks they secured in intermediate.

The Director of admissions Prof V Kalarani has said that job-oriented PG diploma courses like food safety & food quality, web designing, mobileassembly &soft skills and Bio-informatics will be offered through Deccan Education Society’s Fergusson Centre for Higher Learning with whom the varsity has entered an MoU. 

Speaking to The Hans India, she said that, the university provides best education with 300 plus experienced faculty. NAAC A grade accredited varsity has fully equipped laboratories, which are being upgraded from time to time. Several courses have international collaborations, which will be an added advantage to the students, she observed.
