MLA sells tea to slam chaiwallah PM

Eluru: Telugu Desam leader and Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar has created quite a commotion and caused traffic jam at the Kalaparru toll gate near Eluru. 

He staged a unique protest demanding special state status to Andhra Pradesh. The MLA sold tea to the people as a mark of protest.Speaking on the occasion, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reneged on his word on the issue of special category status.

Stating that the BJP was courting YSRCP even while being close to the TDP, he dared the BJP to openly embrace the YSRCP. He said the BJP was disrespecting the sentiments of the Telugu people.

 “For the Telugu Desam, being in power is not important. For us, working for the people is more important. Our leader Chandrababu Naidu had worked for the people even as an Opposition leader,” he said.
