MP, MLA whip lash each other in public

Eluru: In an innovative protest, the Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara RAo (Babu), Ungutur MLA Ganni Veeranjaneyulu and other TDP workers whipped themselves demanding the centre to accord Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

The MP and MLA has performed special prayers at the village deities temples in Bhimadole for SCS on Thursday. The leaders and workers of TDP took out rally in the village and reached Santa Market and garlanded the statue of NT Rama Rao. 

Later the MP and MLA whipped themselves by pleading the deities to atone their wrong deeds. They bang the Dappu, which they claimed will listen at Delhi for the SCS.  

The Eluru MP said that Andhra People will defeat the BJP in Karnataka Elections. ZPTC member Karanam Peddiraju, Mandal President M Rama Tulasamma, former Mandal President Siribattina Kondababu and other leders participated in the protest.
