Demand 5k, if TDP offers 3k for vote: YS Jagan
Vijayawada: YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy asked the public to demand Rs 5,000 if the Telugu Desam offers Rs 3,000 for a vote in the forthcoming elections. Addressing a gathering at public meeting here on Saturday, he said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was capable of offering one kg gold and Benz car to voters. He asked public to accept money from TDP but cast vote as per their conscience.
Reacting to the announcement of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s one day hunger strike for Special Category Status on his birthday on April 20, the Opposition leader explained that the April indicates fourth numerical number and Naidu’s birth date is 20. Hence, Chandrababu Naidu is 420, he said and added that his proposed one-day hunger strike is only to mislead public again.
He said that the whole country could have understood the importance of special status issue of Andhra Pradesh had the Telugu Desam MPs resigned for MP posts like YSRC MPs. Continuing his attack on the TDP supremo, Jagan said that Chandrababu Naidu was fake bullet in the battle of special status.
He said that the Chief Minister indulged in corruption and practiced unlawful activities in construction of Amaravati capital. Naidu and his benamies purchased lands in Amaravati before the announcement of capital city location. Stating that Naidu deserves to be locked up for his deeds, he asked public whether it would be right to put him in jail and beat him up.
The Chief Minister should be punished for insider trading in lands purchase, he said. The Opposition leader termed the Amaravati capital construction as Chief Minister’s Mayabazar cinema. However, he also described Amaravati as a story of corruption and Chandrababu Naidu was villain in the movie.
He asked the people whether Chandrababu Naidu would complete the construction of Amaravati capital city. He said that Chandrababu Naidu failed to fulfill the aspirations of people. He said the CM went 23 times to foreign countries and whenever he goes he makes the announcement that the Amaravati capital city would be constructed in the model of those countries.
