Removal of flexies irks YCP leaders
Vijayawada: YSRCP leaders K Parthasarathi and Velampalli Srinivas vented their ire for removing the flexies of YSRCP leaders at Chitti Nagar area on Friday.
Welcoming YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the party leaders and workers erected thousands of banners and flexies along Errakatta Road and from Milk Project to Srinivasa Mahal Junction. On Friday night, the Telugu Desam functionaries, too, erected the flexies of West MLA Jaleel Khan. The YSRCP workers are alleging that the TDP functionaries removed the flexies of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and other YSRCP leaders.
Kolusu Parthasarathi went to the area and expressed displeasure on the police for not taking action against the TDP workers and preventing the YSRCP workers on erecting the flexies. Former MLA Velampalli squatted on the road with his supporters expressing displeasure over the removal of flexies. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and convinced the leader to withdraw the protest.
Flexies of both TDP and YSRCP leaders were tied to the electrical polls at Chitti Nagar Jnction. Later, police tightened security and took steps to prevent any untoward incident.
