Training camp on bio-medical waste held

Tirupati: A training programme to manage bio-medical waste at SVR Ruia hospital was organised on Saturday. In-charge superintendent of the hospital Dr V Sreenivasulu Reddy while inaugurating the programme said that as the bio-medical waste from various hospitals was not being properly disposed, the people and society were facing health hazards. 

Hospital RMO Dr U Srihari has said that AP Medical and Health department and AP Pollution Control Board have been conducting the training programmes jointly. Voluntary organisation on bio-medical waste president Dr Rathnam explained the scientific ways of disposing bio-medical wastes. HDS member Chinababu, Dr Muneeswar Reddy, Dr Sudhakar Reddy, Nursing Superintendent Syamalatha, Alivelamma and others took part.
