Visakhapatnam: BJLP leader P Vishnukumar Raju has suggested to the ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Nara Lokesh and K Atchennaidu to participate in hunger strike instead of troubling Chief Minister and senior citizen N Chandrababu Naidu who is going to sit for a day-long hunger strike on April 20.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Vishnukumar Raju has said that he has great respect for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and suggested the ministers to take part in hunger strike considering the Chief Minister’s age and health factors.

When he was reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also a senior citizen and sat for one-day hunger strike, Raju replied that why the TDP leaders did not suggestthe same to PM?

Talking about the government teachers dharna and rally on the beach front in city, which was flagged off by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, the BJLP leader pointed out that government departments participating in agitations is not correct practice. In future, employees of Home, Endowments and other departmentsmay  start similar protests which are not healthy to the state, he said.

Talking about MP K Haribabu’s resignation to the post of BJP State President post, Raju said it is all the party internal issues. Already, the state wing has requested the party high command to allot a berth to Haribabu in the central cabinet. New president would be elected for the AP wing and there is also possibility to appoint Haribabu again as President to AP wing, Vishnukumar added.
