Film industry supports stir for Special Category Status
Tammareddy Bharadwaj calls everyone to support Chandrababu Deeksha.
Vijayawada: The whole industry is supporting the agitation for the Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, said noted film director and producer Tammareddy Bharadwaj.
Talking to media here on Thursday, the director regretted over the deafening silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the series of rapes and murders of young girls all over India.
Ridiculing the one-day fast by the Prime Minister over stalling of proceedings in Parliament, he said that the prime minister should have thought of the plight of Andhra Pradesh which has been suffering after the irregular bifurcation of the state.
Referring to the statements of some BJP leaders that they have given everything to the State, he wondered as to who are they to give many things to the State. ”It is our money and it is our right to get adequate funds to the State,” he said.
He suggested that the BJP leaders should think of the State first instead of their party.
“Everyone should support the proposed Deeksha by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for the better future of our State,” he said and made it clear that he had no affiliation to any party.
