Muslims back Chandrababu's deeksha
The day-long Dharma Porata Deeksha of Chandrababu Naidu is getting good support from Muslims and the farmers from the capital region. A large number of Muslims came to the dharna site and expressed solidarity with his deeksha.
They said that The TDP would get more votes than last time as it has severed its links with the BJP. The Muslims were led by TDP Tadikonda MLA Sravan Kumar Meanwhile, a delegation of farmers met Chandrababu and said that they would financially support his endeavours to build a world class capital city at Amaravati.
The Amaravati farmers are already on a war path opposing the Central Government’s neglect of Andhra Pradesh. On April 15, the MLA took out a bike rally in support of the Chief Minister’s fast. They also protested by banging on empty places at the site where the Prime Minister laid the stone for Amaravati works.
