App to detect persons who intend child abuses

Vijayawada: Only with continuous update with the changing technology one can shine in the Technology Industry, said Purdue University (Indiana, USA) director Dr William Oakes.  Dr Oakes along with the representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation visited Vellore Institute of Technology-AP here on Monday.

On the occasion, he said that the Purdue University had developed a tool which would detect the characteristics of people who intend to sexually assault kids. Through social media chats, the tool would detect the person characteristics and intention, he added.

In the days to come, the culprits would be caught through this Chat Analysis Treeyoz tool, he said and added that they would develop innovative tools in collaboration with VIT-AP Amaravati and confirmed that in a couple of months, an action plan would be ready for developing these tools. VIT-AP Vice-President Dr Shekar Vishwanathan, Vice-Chancellor Dr Shubhakar, Registrar Dr SivaKumar and others were present.
