Boy drowns in tank at Palasa

Srikakulam: A six-year-old boy drowned in a tank at Venkateswara Colony near Palasa Town on Monday. According to sources, the deceased was identified as Regi Bhavani Shankar of Venkateswara Colony.

He went to the tank after returning from school in the afternoon along with others to have bath. He accidentally slipped and fell into deep waters and drowned. Though other boys tried to rescue him but in vain. On information, parents, relatives and police rushed to spot and recovered the body.
