Six Andhra University students bag prizes
Visakhapatnam: Students of Fine Arts department of Andhra University scored good prizes at the first International Print Biennale India-2018 Art Competition conducted by Lalit Kala Akademy, New Delhi. Candidates from several countries including US, Scotland, UK, Sweden, China, Mexico and Italy participated in the competition. Of them, 127 aspirants were selected for final round and among them the judges’ selected 50 entries in various categories.

Representing from India, 6 students of Fire Arts department of Andhra University got prizes including competition’s top prize “Grand Award.” Gavara Satyanarayana’s art piece is selected for the Grand Prize Award with cash incentive of Rs 2 lakh. Union Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma presented the Grand Prize Award to Satyanarayana.
Tammineni Jagadeesh, Srikavya Peddinti, Vasavi Medisetti, and Ashok Baski, Keerthikarla Pooja and Srinivas Pulagam selected for various prizes in the competitions. The prize winners met the Vice-Chancellor, Andhra University and shared their experiences. The Vice- Chancellor congratulated all the winners.
