Speaking to the media, Ramesh said the actor has made un-parliamentary comments against Modi. “When Balakrishna had opened fire at his residence in 2004 doctors subsequently provided a certificate that he was mentally unsound. So, he is not fit to be a legislator,” said Ramesh. BJP leaders demanded that his legislature membership should be abolished.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu kept mum while Balakrishna making comments against PM. He rebuked Hindupur MLA for his remarks against Prime Minister Modi without giving any respect to his stature.

The BJP leader also said Balakrishna has no moral right to continue as a legislator and also said that their party leaders staged dharnas across the district as per state committee call.

Meanwhile, police officials have deployed forces at the Collectorate to prevent any untoward incidents keeping in view of the recent verbal dual between the TDP and BJP leaders.
