Ongole: The immigration officials at the Hyderabad International Airport took custody of a man based on a look out notice and handed over to the women police station staff from Ongole on Monday , announced the district police office in a statement.

According to the police, Koduri Chandrakala, daughter of Koduri Venkateswara Reddy, a resident of Ongole got married to Atla Immanuel Reddy of Chirala on February 12, 2011. Immanuel used to work in Country Club at Bengaluru and shifted the family there after marriage.

In 2015, after they blissed with a son, Immanuel fell in love with his colleague and avoided his wife Chandrakala and tortured her.  When Chandrakala lodged a complaint against her husband with the women police station in Ongole, Immanuel had promised her to take to Bengaluru. But, he had shifted to Malaysia without informing his wife.

Chandrakala, waiting for her husband at her father’s house, was  denied entrance to her in-laws house in Chirala also. In the meantime, she received information that Immanuel is visiting Bengaluru and Hyderabad occasionally and complained again to the women police at Ongole on July 19, 2017. After following up the case, the SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu served ‘look out’ circular to all the airports in the country.

On Monday morning, as Immanuel landed in Hyderabad from Malaysia and the immigration officials took him into custody immediately and informed Prakasam district police. Women police station SI Prasad and his staff went to Hyderabad and brought Immanuel to Ongole. The police produced him before the court and sent to remand up to May 7, as per its orders.
