Amaravati: A day after Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu attacked on the Governor accusing him of involving in politics, the ministers including minister for social and tribal welfare Nakka Anand Babu and minister for urban development P Narayana criticised the BJP-led government for continuing Narasimhan as a Governor shamelessly for more than 11 years.

Speaking to media at a press conference in Secretariat on Wednesday, Nakka Anand Babu questioned the credibility of Central government in allowing Narasimhan in the gubernatorial position for such a long time. He said that no government would do like what the BJP was doing. Except Narasimhan, there was no Governor could continue for more than 11 years in the country, he added.

Stating that Narasimhan was doing active politics and damaging the interests of state government by involving conspiracy with the Centre, Nakka Anand Babu observed that the Governor crossed his constitutional limits and involving in political affairs between the Centre and state was not the business of Governor. Quoting the historical events in the past, the social welfare minister said the TDP has been advocating abolishment of the Governor system from long back when Thakur Ram Lal was the Governor of the state in 1983-84.

He observed the then Governor of united Andhra Pradesh N D Tiwari and present Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit also defamed the decorum of the institution. Having said that Narasimhan involved in conspiracy politics with the BJP and Central government, Anand Babu observed there was no use with the Governor system and public money was being unnecessarily spending on it.

He also slammed Narasimhan for spending most money allocated to him on his pilgrimage trips and protocol. Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan, who was in alliance with TDP for four years, started criticising the state government suddenly after he interacted with the Governor, said Anand Babu.

When asked will the State government bring the issue to the notice of President of India, he said that they were only registering their protest and will not go to the President. He further explained that Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah would not do justice to AP.

Alleging that the Governor was responsible for ‘unscientific’ bifurcation of the state, it was established that he was acting as covert to the Central government. He asked as to why the Governor should give reports to Central government on political issues.

In a separate press meet held at the Secretariat, minister Narayana stated the government was suffering with the indifferent attitude of Narasimhan and facing many problems.
