Tearful adieu to Anam Viveka

Nellore: Last rites of former legislator Anam Vivekananda Reddy were performed with guard of honour by police forces at Bodigadithota in city on Thursday evening amid tearful adieu by family members and followers.

Vivekananda Reddy died in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning while he was undergoing treatment  for multiple ailments and his body was shifted to shifted to Nellore. His body was kept at the party office close to his residence in AC Centre for the convenience of offering homage by friends, relatives, followers of Anam family and political leaders. 

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with his ministerial colleagues Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, P Narayana, Amarnath Reddy, local legislators, and others, paid rich tributes to the former MLA at AC Subbareddy Centre.

CM Chandrababu Naidu consoled the family membersof  Vivekananda Reddy. Speaking to the media, Naidu said that Anam Vivekananda Reddy has a long political career. ‘Vivekanda Reddy had special identification in the political history. He has always been available to the public during his entire career. 

He even sacrificed Minister position for the public. He very much liked movies and lived in his own and peculiar style. People always fondly remembered him because of his kindness.’’

An emotional and tearful farewell was given to Anam Vivekananda Reddy and the procession continued via AC Centre, Santhapet, Raghava Kalyana Mandapam, Ranganatha Temple, Old Check Post up to Bodigadhithota on the banks of Penna river where last rites were performed.

Opposition leader and YSRC Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy consoled AnamRamanarayana Reddy over phone. He expressed his condolence to the family members.

Some commercial complexes remained closed expressing their deep concern over death of Vivekananda Reddy voluntarily. AC SubbareddyVegetable Market also was closed down on Thursday. 

Ministers N Amaranath Reddy, Nellore MP MekapatiRajamohan Reddy, ZP Chairman B Raghavendra Reddy, legislators K Govardhan Reddy, R Prathap Kumar Reddy, Anil Kumar Yadav, Collector R Mutyala Raju, SP PHD Ramakishna, former Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi, DCC President P Krishnaiah and others paid rich tributes to Anam Vivekananda Reddy. Thousandspeople from city and other places and followers of Anam family were among those who paid last tributes.
