Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu suggested tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya to mingle with Allagada party leaders and maintain good relations with all senior leaders in Kurnool district.

Naidu had a meeting with Akhila Priya and her rival party leader from Allagadda, A V Subba Reddy at his residence in Undvalli on Friday too as the dispute between them was not settled on Thursday.

According to sources, Akhila Priya strongly objected to the involvement of Subba Reddy in Allagadda constituency and told the Chief Minister that Subba Reddy was provoking Bhuma’s family followers by holding separate programmes in the guise of party activities and making unnecessary criticism against her.  She also made it clear to Naidu that she has no objection if Subba Reddy conducts separate programmes outside Allagadda constituency.

Meanwhile Subba Reddy raised the stone pelting issue on his bicycle rally in Allagadda by followers of Akhila Priya and asked why Akhila Priya was opposing his party programmes in Allagadda. But,  Akhila Priya rejected Subba Reddy allegations as baseless and made it clear she was no way connected with the stone-pelting incident.

The Chief Minister had a separate meeting with Akhila Priya, her sister Mounika and her brother and Nandyal MLA Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy before meeting with Subba Reddy. Party sources said Akhila Priya dropped hints that she will not object to the activities of Subba Reddy if he goes to Nandyal constituency.

However, sources said, Naidu was serious over both the leaders and did not give any promise to them on their appeals. Naidu suggested Akhila Priya to maintain good relations with all the party leaders in the district including Subba Reddy and warned them not to create problems to the party.

After meeting with Naidu, TDP leader and APSRTC chairman Varla Ramaiah came to media along with Akhila Priya and Subba Reddy. Akhila Priya said the Chief Minister told them to work unitedly for the party and shun differences between them. Subba Reddy also said he would work for strengthening the party in Allagadda constituency as per the directions of Naidu.

Though Varla Ramaiah described the differences between the leaders as storm in a tea cup. The Chief Minister also discussed with party leaders of West Godavari over the dispute of selectin of chairman for Chintalapudi agriculture market committee. Chintalapudi TDP MLA Sujatha reportedly opposed the involvement of Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao in her constituency. She blamed that the MP is trying to interfere in the local party activities.

As both the groups are demanding their claim for the post of market committee chairman, Chief Minister held a meeting with Venkateswara Rao and Sujatha on Thursday also.  The Chief Minister on Friday suggested Sujatha and Venkateswara Rao to send five names to him to select appropriate person to the post. He also warned them not to damage the party by forming groups.
