Jagan assures to protect Muslims’ interests
Vijayawada: YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that he would protect the interests of the Muslim minorities in the State, if voted to power. Interacting with the Muslims in his ‘Prajasankalpa Yatra’ in the Gannavaram constituency in the district on Thursday, he said that his father, the late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, provided reservations to Muslims and added that he would also continue to give the same priority to Muslims.
On the occasion, several Muslims pouring out their vows, said that they were facing lot of difficulties. Besides, YS Jagan also assured the document writers that he would continue the system giving protection to their livelihood, if he comes to power in 2019. Several lakhs of document writers were living depending upon the profession, he added.
Later, when the owners of tractors and farmers met him, the the YSRCP president said that he would cancel the tax that was imposed on their tractors. He further said that his government would give utmost priority for agriculture. After completion of the Padayatra in the morning session, YS Jagan left for Hyderabad. Several leaders were also present along with him in the yatra.
