Kuchipudi dance by Dr Ch Ajay Kumar enthrals audience

Vijayawada: The Kuchipudi dance performance by Dr Ch Ajay Kumar enthralled the audience here on Thursday. The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) organised Natya Sravanti as part of the monthly dance programme under the aegis of CCVA and Srinivasa Farms. The programme was launched by Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of APMDC.

Dr Ajay Kumar took ‘Amritha Madhana’ scene through Jakkula Purandhri set in Ragamalika and Aditala, followed by his extraordinary performance of eight types of Nayikas to a Kriti written by Pushpalata. Ajay's postures and stills captivated the audience.

Venkaiah Chowdary complimented and felicitated Ajay with a shawl and memento. Natyacharini Padmasri Hemanth, Tirumala Srinivas, director of Malaxmi Infra Ventures India Pvt Ltd, Golla Narayana Rao, CCVA CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy and some other dance students attended the programme.
