Rally in support of Dalits on May 18 

Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Dr Chinta Mohan has said that the Central government will cancel the reservations shortly, which will be against the interests of Dalits. 

Speaking to reporters at R & B Guest House here on Friday, he said that the SC, ST Atrocities Act is a boon to SCs and STs and now the
Central government is trying to dilute it.  Though the Act is in force, many atrocities are taking place on Dalits across the country.  

He said that a ‘Millennium March’ will be held on May 18 from Vijayawada to Amaravati and appealed to all Dalits to participate in the rally. It was aimed at mount pressure on Central government and Supreme Court to revoke the suspended clauses in the SC, ST Act.
