Training programme on export business procedures held

Ongole: The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry held a one-day training programme on Export Business-Procedures and Documentation, at Ongole on Thursday.

Addressing budding entrepreneurs and businessmen interested in the exports and imports of various products and services, FTAPCCI trainer P Sampath Kumar explained them about the procedures to start export and import business, licenses and approvals required for it, various types of commercial and regulatory documents to be submitted for international trade, role of Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India, loans through banks, opportunities and marketing of exports, pre-shipment and post-shipment finance for exporters, FEMA regulations and currency risks, inclusion of price escalation clause in exports agreement, methods of realising payments, payments transactions under letter of credit and other basics required for the exporters and importers.

Sampath Kumar interacted with the participants and exchanged the experiences and risks faced by few exporters and importers. He advised the interested people in exports and imports, to never jump into it at once.

He asked them to study the risk involved in the business and acquire complete knowledge of imports and exports in few weeks. He advised them to depend on consultants for few deals to learn the process but not believe on unknown persons introduced through social media in the name of contracts.
