VIG-GYAN inaugurated at Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman M T Krishna Babu inaugurated Vigilance Multipurpose Learning Centre of Vigilance Department (VIG-GYAN) on Thursday in the port premises.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman stated that the learning centre will facilitate conducting training programmes and conferences for the in-service employees and officers to have basic knowledge in tender process and awareness on vigilance procedures.  

Due to lack of awareness on vigilance procedures, the officials are facing hardship in getting clearance and all the employees should update basic knowledge in the vigilance procedures and to have transparency in the areas of work, Krishna Babu said.

The Chairman appreciated VPT Chief Vigilance Officer VVS Sreenivas and his team for making all efforts in providing the facility with minimum cost. Briefing the gathering, Sreenivas stated that the facility has been provided with environmental friendly atmosphere.

The CVO stated that everyone in the first instance should acquire the cost of material in the open market for preparing the estimates to reduce the overall cost of the work and appealed that consciousness and involvement in the work ethics and would help in survival in the present day competition and time has come to gear up.
