Tirumala, role model pilgrim centre: T Subbirami Reddy

Tiruchanoor: Describing the environs of Tirumala as clean and tidy, the Chairman of Parliamentary committee on Subordinate Legislation Dr T Subbirami Reddy said, `Tirumala is a role model temple to all other pilgrim centres.’

After having darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala and Goddess Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor, he spoke to media persons. He said, ``The solid waste management system is also best utilised in Tirumala.

Out of the 90 tonnes of waste, 30 tonnes are converted into manures and the remaining 60 tonnes are used for manufacturing cement." TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, temple Special Grade Dy EO  P Muni Rathnam Reddy and others were present.
