Kin stage stir with dead body against Galla Foods

Chittoor: Protesting the indifferent attitude of the management of Galla Foods, the relatives of the deceased farmer, Reddamma, staged a dharna along with her body at the Collectorate here on Saturday. Gopi Krishna, son of Reddamma, alleged that the Galla Foods had restricted entry of her mother into her field by constructing a compound wall on the farm boundaries. She made several representations to the District Collector seeking action against the Galla Foods for denying her entry into her farm land.

As there was no response from the Collector reportedly, Reddamma has died on Saturday with the agony over her land issue, he claimed. Reddamma was the resident of Diguvamagham village in Thavanampalli mandal. Jana Sangh State General Secretary Dr K Ramana Reddy and his party workers visited the Collectorate and assured kin of deceased rendering justice to them. Ramana Reddy alleged that the management of Galla Foods has encroached 30,000 acres of land in Thavanampalli mandal for constructing their company.
