YSRCP to hold Deeksha in Vizag

Visakhapatnam/Amaravati: As the protests for SCS in Andhra Pradesh are intensifying, YSRCP supremo YS Jaganmohan Reddy gave a call to party cadres to protest in Visakhapatnam on 30th April.

The leaders of the party will be observing the day as Vanchana Vyatireka Deekshaagainst TDP led state governmentfrom 7a.m to 7p.m  near Central Park. All the MLAs, MPs,MLCs and other party members decided to go on 12-hour fast demanding SCS to the state, said MP Vijaya Sai Reddy here on Sunday.

Addressing the media, Vijaya Sai Reddy said that the leaders of YSRCP will be protesting with black flags and sport black ribbons while Jaganmohan Reddy will be continuing his padayatra as usual on Monday. However, he would also wear a black ribbon, in support of his party leaders who will be protesting in the city for SCS. 

He also mentioned that the agitations in AP seems to be reaching  a crescendo with various parties demanding SCS and Railway zone. Many of the intellectuals and leaders have been finding fault with the Centre’s attitude towards the state. 

Meanwhile, the YSRCP in a press release in Amaravati on Sunday, said that the party will organise VanchanaVyatirekaDeeksha in Visakhapatnam on April 30. 

“This day (April 30) is to mark the betrayal by Chief Minister  Nara Chandrababu Naidu. All YSRC MPs, who had resigned to their posts, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders will go on a 12-hour fast on Monday. They will stage protest holding black flags while Jaganmohan Reddy would continue his PrajaSankalpa Yatra,’’ the party said.
