Four held for rowdy-sheeter Mahesh’s murder

Visakhapatnam: The police arrested four accused in the rowdy-sheeter Suvvada Mahesh’s murder case. Mahesh is one of the prime accused in Gedala Raju murder case. The police found that Mahesh was murdered on April 17 by his known friends due to old rivalry.

While presenting the accused before the media on Monday, ACP P Rama Chandar Rao said the accused were identified as S Narayana Rao, R Manikanta, N Nani Kumar and M Ravi Kumar.

The accused Nani Kumar was threatened twice by Mahesh in the past, when Kumar stopped him to move with Mahesh. The accused developed rivalry over Mahesh who harassed them on various issues and finally planned to eliminate Mahesh and drafted a sketch.

In the two-weeks, the police identified the accused and taken them into custody. During interrogation, the accused confessed to their crime. Accused Nani Kumar and Ravi Kumar financed for Mahesh’s murder.

On April 17, deceased Mahesh met the accused at Maddilapalem and both had alcohol with Manikanta and Narayana till night. Accused Narayana attacked on Mahesh with a sharp knife while Manikanta brutally beaten him on head with an iron rod. Later, the accused slipped into dark, the ACP explained.

After getting the information, other two accused Ravi Kumar and Nani Kumar rushed to the spot and shoot the photos of Mahesh who lay in the pool of blood. Though Ravi and Nani not directly involved in the murder, the duo assured to bring bail to Narayana and Manikanta. Nani and Ravi also involved in the Mahesh’s murder sketch, the ACP said.
