Case under Atrocities Act registered against TDP MLA

Visakhapatnam: The Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) leaders and Telugu Desam Party  followers in 23rd ward of urban constituency in the city lodged a complaint under Atrocities Act against MLA and District Telugu Desam Party Urban President Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar at Three Town Police Station here on Wednesday.

TDP Urban District SC/ST Cell Joint Secretary  R Chitti Babu, along with MRPS leader T Srinivas, lodged a complaint against MLA Vasupalli for abusing the party followers with their community one week ago. Based on a complaint, Three Town police registered a case under Atrocities Act and filed an FIR against the MLA here on Wednesday.

According to sources, the TDP Urban District SC/ST Cell Joint Secretary R Chitti Babu and Shivayya met IT Minister Nara Lokesh and given a written complaint against Vasupalli and his attitude towards downtrodden leaders in the party in urban constituency. 

To carry this issue to state-level, the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti leaders T Srinivas submitted a memorandum to the present and former state SC community ministers and leaders against MLA Vasupalli. 

The TDP leaders and MRPS leaders demanded that the state government and TDP President take a stringent action against MLA Vasupalli, the MRPS leaders asserted.
