Kidambi Srikanth takes charge as Deputy Collector in AP
Ace badminton shuttler Kidambi Srikanth on Wednesday formally took charge as Deputy Collector in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur. After submitting his joining report to Guntur collector Kona Shashidhar, Srikanth took formal charge. He even went to thank Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who had promised him a government job last year after he won the title at the Indonesian Championship.
Srikanth is not expected to attend office every day and will be continuing his training at the Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad.
Speaking after being appointed as the Deputy Collector, Srikanth said he is happy to serve the public from his native place and will do justice to his Deputy Collector post even though his focus is on the game. The newly appointed deputy collector also thanked the chief minister, his coaches and the collector for the prestigious post.
